In response to increased request from designers for more “distressed, uneven, patchy” finishes, Astor have produced new variations to their existing electroplated bronze finishes, adding new “Burnished Bronze” to the standard range.

When applied to ’ordinary’ metal; “Burnished Bronze” gives texture and realism when a project budget, lead-time or design doesn’t allow for solid bronze.

Having been developed to ensure both small and large projects can be accommodated in their Sydney factory (under the one roof), “Burnished Bronze” sits in line with the full range of Astor Metal Finishes which allows metals to take on properties of other more precious metals in their aesthetics, durability and reflectivity.

In a process that applies various combinations of polishing, electroplating and lacquering, the Astor production methods have been providing durable and beautiful metal finishing since 1951 to design, lighting, furniture, industrial, automotive, and signage industries.

Suitable for interior or exterior use, the bronze plated mild steel is suitable for furniture, frames, bronze plated aluminium is suitable for lighting, signage and panels, while bronze plated stainless is suitable for thin flat or wrapped panels.

A distinguished effect that is achieved using advanced methods and a strong history of proven experience in the field.
