Bold, fresh and inspiring – Indesign magazine like you’ve never seen it before
April 9th, 2009
Issue #37 of Indesign magazine marks the first comprehensive review since the magazine’s launch in 2000, with a new visual identity by studio one8one7.
Led by Creative Directors Marcus Piper and Christey Johansson, studio one8one7 are previous Art Directors of POL Oxygen and Jaime Hayon book Works amongst many other titles.
Favouring a collaborative approach to graphic design, the studio have created a structured, clean layout, allowing space for the architectural and design content to breathe.
As part of the new design, studio one8one7 have also created a striking new font – called Indesign – inspired by the jagged forms of Konstantin Grcic’s Chair_One series.
As well as the new visual identity, the magazine has a new internal structure, making it easier to navigate with the rhythm and space to draw out the character of each individual project.
The re-launch issue is also packed full of outstanding content, including a profile of Indesign Luminaries bernabeifreeman, and stories on the new HASSELL Brisbane studio and the American Express building in Sydney, to name just a few.
Indesign #37 is on sale in newsagencies and bookstores globally on Wednesday 27 May.
