Internationally renowned practice, Universal Design Studio, has landed in the heart of Melbourne

A sister company of BarberOsgerby, London, Universal is a multi-disciplinary team of architects and designers who approach design holistically delivering creative, authentic responses to contemporary needs. Formed in 2001 the practice has been awarded for their work on such high profile projects including; Stella McCartney, Paul Smith and Damien Hirst to name a few.
The strength of the Australian design culture and international relevance of the Australian marketplace coupled with their increasing global presence has brought the company to Australia.The new Studio has opened in Oliver Lane, headed by Mark Simpson, who has been with Universal for the past 5 years of which 2 he has lived in the country.
His resume is impressive, a graduate from the Scott Sutherland School of Architecture in Scotland he has also worked with Allies and Morrson Architects and Carr Design Group – his professional experience is diverse, ranging in scale and sectors across the UK and Australia.
