Developed with the hybrid workspace and employee wellbeing in mind, Woven Image’s award-winning Embossed Acoustic Panel collection has expanded with three new finishes that combine on-trend aesthetics with excellent acoustic performance.

In this era of hybrid work, office spaces that positively influence an employee’s mental and physical health are key to attracting and retaining top tier employees. In any work environment, acoustic comfort helps boost productivity and reduces anxiety, but too often acoustic solutions privilege functionality at the cost of style.
International interior finishes company, Woven Image, addresses the need for design-driven acoustic solutions for the new hybrid workplace with its Embossed Acoustic Panel Collection. This award-winning range featuring designs such as Zen, Gem and Ion welcomes three new products – Pico Embossed Panel, Ion Duet and Pendent Ion Duet – showcasing vertical linework, geometric wonder and stunning colourways that bring sophistication to any space.
Emerging from the architectural trend towards detailed linework, the Pico Embossed Panel combats reverberation within commercial spaces while providing a beautiful 3D textural element to any vertical surface with its narrow corrugated peaks and valleys. “The design mimics the lines, and grooves of a Japanese Zen garden evoking a sense of simplicity and calm,” explains Amy Saunders, Head of Design.
Ion Duet utilises the award-winning Ion design in a multi directional dual-sided panel for partitioning applications, including workstation screens and operable walls. Compressed from EchoPanel® 24mm, ensuring colour is consistent throughout the thickness of the panel, it can also be used for frameless applications.
As a suspended acoustic screen, Pendent Ion Duet floats gracefully above the floor. Delivering a breathtaking and sound absorbing experience, Pendent Ion Duet’s striking embossed design is featured on both sides, ensuring its aesthetic is enjoyed from all angles. Coming with a beautifully-designed suspension kit (including optional floor fixing and three sleeve colours, charcoal, silver and gold), this unique acoustic solution can be used for space dividing, privacy screening or way-finding applications.
These new additions to Woven Image’s Embossed Acoustic Panel collection embrace the trend towards tactile surfaces and three-dimensional textures, interweaving cutting-edge design with outstanding acoustic performance. These products excel in reducing reverberated noise in shared spaces, contributing to a comfortable and productive work environment. Depending on the type of backing chosen, Pico can provide an NRC rating up to 0.75, which means 75% of the sound energy coming in contact with that specific material is absorbed.

These acoustic panels also meet the demands of sustainable design, achieving excellent environmental credentials. The products are sustainably made using PET made from recycled plastic bottles, and are also Red List Free with published ingredient transparency through Declare. Each panel performs to commercial industry standards for interior wall linings, ensuring exceptional durability and a long service life.
Made in Australia in their production facility in regional New South Wales, the Embossed Acoustic Panel collection continues Woven Image’s commitment to delivering sustainable design driven acoustic solutions. Their on-trend, design-led products have won numerous awards including A+ Products Award: Acoustics and Wall Coverings, Architizer 2021 (2x); The Object, INDE Awards 2021; Workplace Design, Dezeen Awards 2020; and Surfaces, FX International Design Awards 2020.
This new release also includes extensions to EchoPanel® 24mm and Mura colour palettes. Ensuring higher acoustic performance can be easily integrated within a range of interior colour schemes, earthy tones of ochre, cinnamon and slate have been added to the EchoPanel® 24mm portfolio, while the Mura colour palette has been expanded with warm olive, dusky orchid, smokey slate, marle effect chalk, blue coronet and neutral vanilla.
