Cosentino’s revolutionary production techniques come to the fore with the latest colour in their Silestone surfaces collection; Eternal Noir.
March 27th, 2020
The latest colour in the Eternal collection of Silestone surfaces is a deep, dark design with striking veins that reference the asymmetrical elegance of natural stone. In its depth of colour, Eternal Noir places the benefits of Cosentino’s patented production techniques on display front and centre. How so?
Silestone is produced with Cosentino’s revolutionary N-Boost technology – a treatment that acts on the quartz-based material at the molecular level. N-Boost uses nanotechnology to create nanostructures that protect the surface of the material from porousness – not as an additive layer, but as part of the very core of the Silestone material.
Many quartz manufacturers place a sealer or wax layer to achieve this result. But as time goes on, the layer wears off and stains start to appear on the material. The patented process in Silestone N-Boost, on the other hand, achieves an unalterable reaction on the surface; the material properties change for good.
The result? Liquids are completely repelled and the surface never stains, making cleaning a breeze. But furthermore, colour and shine are thoroughly enhanced. This is because the uniform and polished Silestone surface reflects light better. Colours appear richer and the surface shine stays brilliant. The surface also offers high resistance to stains and scratching.
The colours of the Silestone Eternal series were inspired by the world of natural stone. And for this reason, each slab includes a unique variation of veins and colour. Eternal Noir features white and gold-toned linear veining on a black backdrop – a high-contrast design that plays into the increasing consumer taste for dark surfaces. The design can be enjoyed in large-format and customised slab sizes.
