Among the very special international guests at Saturday in Design Sydney will be Mr Mui-Koon Chai, Design Principal at HBO+EMTB – the winner of the Saturday in Design Singapore design trail competition!
At the first ever Saturday in Design Singapore we gave one lucky visitor the chance to follow the design trail to Sydney to attend the event in Australia on 19 + 20 August, and we’re delighted to announce Mr Chai as the winner.
Mr Chai will travel in style to Sydney to see over 80 companies, including SiD Singapore exhibitors like Foundry, Stylecraft, Smeg, Woven Image, InterfaceFLOR and Schiavello.
He’ll also see the latest from Australian and international exhibitors like Argent, Arthur G, Bolon, Cadry’s, Café Culture, Caroma, Classique, Corporate Culture, Designer Rugs, Earp Brothers, Euroluce, Hub Furniture, Inlite, Insitu, Living Edge, Luxxbox, Mico, Miele, Parterre, Poliform, Porcelanosa, Reece, Sampford IXL, Space Furniture, Spence and Lyda, Studio Becker, Thonet and Zenith. (see all the exhibitors on the SID Sydney website here)
With 85 exhibitors in 36 locations and countless events and surprises in store, it’s going to be an exciting 48 hours. Mr Chai will experience all the inspiring collaborations between showrooms and designers as part of The Project, and celebrate emerging Australian design at the announcement of the Launch Pad competition winner. He’ll have the chance to chat to international designers Benjamin Hubert and Michael Young, and be among the first to see brand new products launched exclusively at Saturday in Design.
Mr Chai will stay at the Park8 Hotel in Sydney and mingle with the local design scene at the official closing party on Saturday night.
We look forward to seeing Mr Chai at Saturday in Design Sydney – and can’t wait to see you all again at the next Saturday in Design Singapore!
