Nestled beneath the streets of the Fortitude Valley, Greaser is one of Brisbane’s most unique bars.
July 1st, 2014
Tokened the coolest bar in Brisbane by locals, The Greaser Bar is a subterranean, retro, American-styled bar found in the cellar a 130-year-old building. The Bar oozes with edge and style; exposed pipes, graffiti on the wall and red brick walls really set the scene for a truly different dining experience.
Prototype was at hand to add to this unique venue by providing verge plywood tabletops with digitally printed images and a clear two-pack finish. This revolutionary technology enabled prototype to match the decals from the wall with their table surfaces providing a truly unique and custom product.
The bar is surrounded with very funky retro-styled chromed stools with custom denim upholstered tops reminiscent of an old American diner. Moving away from the bar and towards the dining area one finds wooden high bars surrounded by dark timber bar stools with custom tan leather upholstery. These bar stools upon closer inspection are finished with custom studwork on the outer edge of the tan leather.
Continuing ones journey through this quirky basement bar, one stumbles upon Houston dinning chairs with upholstered red leather seats used around large wooden dinning tables, which really adds to the American diner ambiance that has been created.
This unique alternative venue was crafted by matching very creative murals to the tables using digital printed images,as well as using customised furniture. The American rock and roll atmosphere created by this combination has made The Greaser Bar one of Brisbane’s most sought after social hubs.
