Sculptural, evocative and organic, Tala was founded with the aim of creating refined and sustainable lighting products.
Tala is the result of four friends at the University of Edinburgh sharing a passion for design, technology and environmental awareness. Today, Tala represents distinctive design, British industrial influences and pioneering LED technology. The combination of design and sustainability makes each Tala product totally unique.
Better yet, when you purchase a Tala product you’re also investing in the company’s ethos – this is represented in every detail, from the packaging down to a tree-planting program called Ten Trees, where for every 200 Tala units sold, 10 trees are planted.
Tala lightbulbs use only 10% of the energy required by their incandescent counterparts, and last up to 15 times longer than a traditional bulb. Illuminating warm, instant light, Tala bulbs perfectly imitate the warmth of the original Edison bulb.
Redefining the concept of the light bulb, Tala’s decorative Voronoi light fixtures use traditional Edison socket bases – the old-school concept of a light bulb being a disposable item is no longer the case, with these bulb fixtures expected to last around 20,000 hours. In residential terms at around 5 hours a day that’s more than 10 years.
With an amber tinted mouth blown organic glass shape, enclosing the curved, cutting edge LED light source, each of these fixtures are as unique as they are beautiful and will enhance many applications in both residential and hospitality environments.
The Voronoi range is currently featured in the newly updated LightCo showroom. Additional pieces will be added to the display in the months to follow.
