Paving the way for the workspaces of tomorrow with Brix

As businesses have adapted to the new normal, the landscape of the modern workplace is seeing more flexibility and versatility across the way we work and the environments we place ourselves in. These unprecedented times have inspired the industry to reshape the way we think about individual and collaborative workstyles. It has driven designers, as well as employers, to create new avenues, conversations and methods where we can support this new normal for workplace interiors.

To ensure that individuals are able to work safely and efficiently as they slowly return to commercial spaces, product designers are looking for ways to address this new working arrangement without compromising on the user’s wellbeing and productivity. The creative industry has a responsibility to innovate through design, producing furniture and solutions that address the possibilities of return-to-work anxieties around space, privacy and health.

Furniture and accessories brand, Luxboxx presents Brix – a modular accessory that takes agile and safe working to the next level. Through this highly versatile furniture system, Luxxbox’s furniture collections are created with the wellbeing of the individual in mind.

“Time will tell if the COVID-19 pandemic will change the workspace interiors in the long term,” expresses Luxxbox Managing and Creative Director, Jason Bird. “But as product designers, we are in a unique position of being able to show our client what is needed in workspaces for the short term.”

This flexible system is highly movable and adaptable, allowing you to customize your own working style by creating personal private spaces while staying involved in the workplace activity. Brix can be set up as a partition structure, walls or cubicles easily and effortlessly, making them the superior choice for any environment. Its bold, fluid structure is not restricted to just one type of workplace shape as it can take in the form of any configuration that suits you and your team best.

In addition to Brix’s visual benefits, the multipurposed design has been crafted with acoustic paneling, which reduces unwanted noise in open spaces and allows the employee to work independently with no disturbances. “We want to ensure privacy and sound attenuation without diminishing sight lines for spaces that want to remain open,” says Bird. “Brix allows you to put the privacy where you need it, when you need it.”

Made from recycled and recyclable materials, Brix consists of high anti-microbial properties in both the acoustic PET plates and the EPP pins. Its highly effective noise absorption qualities of 0.7+ NRC across a range of frequencies allows it to create a comforting and relaxing atmosphere to push productivity levels to a maximum.

Throughout Australia and beyond, Luxxbox has been consistently trying to find new ways to champion adaptability and diversity in the workspace. At the forefront of the brand, its product offering reinforces that offices can operate as collaborative hubs and private, singular workspaces. Available in an extensive list of different colour combinations, Brix defines the direction forward in the commercial sector with its refined style and purpose-driven design.
