Bildspec Operable Walls have an important part to play in improving the acoustic environment. They are often used to divide areas in clubs or community spaces needing to maximise their patronage at certain times in the day, as well as provide privacy when needed. Our Operable walls:

Furthermore, various face finishes used on the surface of each operable wall can improve the NRC (the measure of sound absorption or Noise Reduction Coefficient)/reverberation acoustic quality of the space through sound absorption. Careful consideration should be given to choosing face finishes which assist in absorbing the frequencies of speech, referred to as articulate speech frequencies. This can be discussed with your acoustic consultant on the project, to get the desired acoustic outcome.
Larger format operable walls, walls meeting at 90 degrees, or walls stacking a long distance away from where they need to be setup, are all common requirements of leisure-based venue spaces – our operable walls accommodate all these needs with ease. Furthermore, many of our walls have to satisfy strict building code requirements for egress and disability codes, as deemed necessary by the building certifier.
