It was a night to remember as the 2024 INDE.Awards gala delivered an amazing evening of architecture and design, and also provided the opportunity to renew connections, make new friends and just have fun!
August 29th, 2024
With a capacity crowd and the cream of the region’s architects and designers in attendance, the 2024 INDE.Awards Gala was presented on the 1st August at The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne.
Shortlisted practices, Luminaries past and present, and partners and supporters donned their finery and came together to celebrate the abundant talent that resides in the Indo-Pacific region.
The glittering destination for the INDE.Awards – and the Official Venue Partner – was The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne and its beautiful ballroom, where the award-winners and highly commended projects, practices and people were announced.
On arrival, guests were greeted with champagne supplied by our Champagne Partner Veuve Clicquot, along with delicious canapés. This was a moment to mix and mingle, then it was on to be seated and enjoy the formal proceedings.
Hosted by Jan Henderson, the 2024 INDE.Awards Program Director, the evening was filled with joy, some surprises and multiple acknowledgements of accomplishments that sees the region lead the way in architecture and design on the global stage.
Each of the winners made their way to the stage to receive their magnificent awards designed by our Trophy Partner, Tilt Industrial Design, which were presented by partner representatives of each category. After a few words of appreciation from the very happy winner and, in one case, winners, it was on to the next category. The evening ran smoothly, and at the end of the proceedings, there was a buzz in the air in anticipation of the party ahead.
After the final formal announcements, the guests moved to the adjoining room that sparkled with light from the ever-changing colours of the exquisite ceiling and enormous chandeliers overhead; the occasion was celebrated with gusto. There was more delectable food, free-flowing drinks and everyone danced the night away to the sounds of Upbeat Social’s DJ Mike P and live saxophone player Hector Harley.
It was a night to remember and savour, but perhaps the biggest winner of all was our region, where the many talented architects and designers create incredible design and make our world a better place in which to live. Of course, the evening would not have been possible without the generous support of our partners. Thank you so much for being a part of the INDEs and for ensuring that the architecture and design of our region is on show for all the world to see and enjoy.
