Acoustic performance glazing from BCG becomes the standout feature of the new GPT Group head office fit-out by Woods Bagot.
August 1st, 2011
GPT Group’s aim is to “create and sustain environments that enrich people’s lives” – a philosophy that needed to be embodied in their new office fit-out, designed by Woods Bagot.
Bent and Curved Glass (BCG) were chosen to supply a glazing solution for an atrium void spanning 3 levels.
As the focal point of the fit-out, the atrium needed to maintain acoustic privacy and create a dynamic and appealing visual effect.
Laminated curved and flat glass from BCG fulfils sound-proofing necessities and creates a dramatic feature, with undulations to soften spatial flow and meet the architects’ vision for the project.
The atrium defines different areas of the new office and lets in natural sunlight, as well as providing views over the city skyline.
The result is an illuminated, enlivened environment connecting GPT staff and clients throughout their new multi-level office.
