Ergonomics, fluidity and flexibility are integral to design for this German furniture company.

With three production locations and over fifty showrooms around the world, König + Neurath are the largest furniture manufacturer in Germany and one of the largest in Europe.
The company was established in 1925 and has been distributing their products in Australia for over 20 years, with ranges of office furniture, seating and room systems.
The brand will shortly take on a permanent Australian presence as Peter Dover and business partner Brett Edwards take on K+N City Office Australia. Peter has been working in the commercial furniture business for over 23 years and has come to know and respect the K+N brand.
“This is a very exciting moment for the design community of Australia. Finally the very best of European design and manufacturing will be available from this iconic company,” Dover says.
The Karben-based company has been taking ergonomics seriously for many years and this forms the basis for all their design and business approaches. K+N also believe strongly in innovative office design, understanding that rigid office design is increasingly a thing of the past and often very counterproductive.
They focus their designs on fluid, flexible office furniture independent of the buildings and space they occupy.
The company’s new City Office range was launched at the Orgatec 08 fair in Cologne, Germany in October and will launch to the Australian market in November.
