With the launch of ThinkingQuietly, a new range of high-performance acoustic furniture from ThinkingWorks, Stylecraft continues their tradition of providing the Australian market with the latest and greatest in commercial furniture.
Stylecraft has long been thought leaders when it comes to commercial design. Always ahead of the curve, they are finely tuned to the evolving needs of the commercial sector and, with over 6 decades of experience, are equipped with the expertise and knowledge needed to meet these. From offices to educational and hospitality spaces, Stylecraft is committed to providing furnishings that marry stylish contemporary design with functionality and performance. The latest addition to their carefully curated selection of commercial furniture is ThinkingQuietly, a family of acoustic furniture designed by Thinking Works. And, it has just hit the market!
It is now an established fact that noise levels in workplaces directly impact upon worker performance, wellbeing, and happiness. Yet while the A+D sector has embraced this challenge and sought to incorporate noise attenuation into design, there remains a shortfall between function and aesthetics. Often, acoustic controls are standalone objects that are difficult to integrate into commercial environments due to stylistic or space constraints. Now, with the launch of ThinkingQuietly, Stylecraft is pleased to announce that this no longer need be the case.
Developed in consultation with acoustic engineers, ThinkingQuietly combines a stylish retro design aesthetic with the latest developments in acoustic technology. Advanced acoustic panels in a neutral palette of grey and oatmeal are inset into sleek timber frames to craft a design language that is consistent across the entire range, which includes round, square, and rectangle tables, workstations, modular workbays, and the iconic ‘Cone of Silence’ hanging canopy. Ideal for offices both big and small, the range has significant acoustic attenuation capabilities: when fitted with a canopy and screens, ThinkingQuietly double-sided workstations offer a noise reduction of 44% in comparison with open plan workstations.
Yet today’s workers are no longer confined to working solely at their desks. Thanks to developments in mobile technology and increasingly agile work behaviours, more and more of the 9 to 5 is being spent working remotely, or in collaborative group environments. Comprised of a hanging ring of acoustic panels, the ThinkingQuietly Cone of Silence caters for both scenarios. A strikingly unique product that is as much a conversation piece as it is a high performance acoustic solution, the Cone of Silence absorbs noise over meeting rooms and shared workspaces, preventing excessive noise spill across open plan floor plates. Thanks to its adjustable height and convenient ceiling mountings, the Cone of Silence is also compatible with increasingly popular standing workstations.
In addition to its outstanding acoustic performance, the ThinkingQuietly range also tackles a number of other problems common to the contemporary workspace. Privacy is a key concern in today’s open plan spaces, and ThinkingQuietly addresses this head on with its compact, modular workbay, Straight and corner acoustic wall panels can be combined to create quiet workspaces for meetings, individual work, or one-on-one catch ups. Workstations in the ThinkingQuietly range can also be customised to include screens at varying heights, providing privacy for workers in close proximity to one another.
The range also responds to the reliance on technology and demand for constant connectivity that characterizes today’s workspaces. Accessories include integrated USB ports and power sockets and device storage, alongside a streamlined segregated cable tray that can be mounted on the underside of work surfaces for tidy cable management. LED strip lighting can also be fully integrated into the long ends of the canopy, providing bright, even light that workers can control to suit their individual needs.
With ThinkingQuietly, Stylecraft reaffirms their commitment to providing high-performance, stylish furniture that supports the commercial spaces of tomorrow. To read the full Acoustics Report from ThinkingWorks, download your copy here.
