This year, Scandinavian Business Seating brings colour into focus, rolling out four fresh new shades for HÅG’s ever-popular Capisco Puls chair.
Think of Scandinavian design, and particular colours will almost certainly pop into your mind – the subtle, pale tones of the north as well as the bold hues of the region’s folk art. This year, Scandinavian Business Seating has accentuated its heritage by embracing these palettes for some of its most popular seating products.
The company has developed its own Trend Textiles Collection 2016–2017 with two textile palettes comprising 40 colours in total. The ‘Sense’ collection is light and subdued, while ‘New Folk’ is rich and vivid.
The collection was developed with the recognition that colour really matters – it affects us daily and plays a crucial role in all our visual experiences. Colour can awaken our senses and affect our mood.
It can provide energy, joy and a sense of wellbeing – even encourage creativity. It can also influence how we interpret and respond to our surroundings. Colour, recognises Scandinavian Business Seating, can serve as an essential communicative tool.
With that in mind, the company’s first ‘new colour’ product release is fresh and light. Four new colours for HÅG’s ever-popular Capisco Puls chair have just hit the market. Capisco Puls was developed with an in-depth understanding of the body and our need for constant motion. The lightness of the new shades – sea green, clay, pink and petroleum – sit well with the emphasis on motion, and also pick up on the current in interior palettes toward delicate pastel hues.
Expect to see the next colour update from Scandinavian Business Seating’s RBM portfolio very soon. The harmonisation and synchronisation of colours between the HÅG and RBM portfolios has been critical, with the choice of colours based on upcoming trends that were identified through workshops with Swedish design studio Form us With Love.
