Acoustic comfort is crucial for creating a pleasant environment that reduces stress, improves productivity and increases satisfaction. In commercial settings, the ceiling offers designers the ideal platform for improving sound quality within a space while delivering a statement piece that engages the visual senses.

Addressing the demand for versatile design solutions that combine trending aesthetics with acoustic function, Woven Image has introduced Array acoustic ceiling baffles and Fuji acoustic ceiling tiles as part of a beautiful collection of design-driven acoustic ceiling finishes.

Array is a fully customisable acoustic ceiling baffle system made from EchoPanel® 12mm and 24mm that is available in nine standard designs based on the natural and built landscape and over 30 on-trend colours. Among the design options is Flow, Woven Image’s latest baffle design that lives up to its name with a display that evokes the gentle undulations of the tide. Compared to other acoustic baffle systems, Array has been designed for quick and simple installation.

Utilising compatible ceiling mount hardware, Fuji has been developed as 3D-formed acoustic tiles in configurable square or rectangular sizes supporting direct fix or suspended applications, as well as wall mounting for a floor-to-ceiling effect. Inspired by modern Japonisme and Art Deco trends, Fuji comes in square designs including Roku and Ku and rectangular designs Juni and Hachi. Breaking away from the standard flat panel, Fuji tiles are characterised by their embossed lines, curves and unique profiles, providing a distinct look to ceilings.

Expanding the possibilities for special, one-of-a-kind installations, Fuji tiles can be configured by size, colour, spacing, installation and hardware. They are available in single or dual colour options, with a palette of 23 colours to suit a range of colour schemes. Mix and match Fuji tiles or coordinate with wall finishes and furnishings to enhance the whole room.

Both Fuji and Array provide excellent acoustic performance, especially in busy spaces where noise can disrupt productivity and comfort. Fuji has undergone acoustic performance testing in accordance with global standards, ISO and ASTM, achieving exceptional Sabin, NRC and αw scores. These results demonstrate Fuji’s ability to absorb mid-high frequencies sounds, making it ideal for office, education and hospitality environments.

Array ceiling baffles have also been proven to take interior spaces to the next level. Woven Image’s in-house baffle design, Viaduct, was used by Italian restaurant Lombra to delight their patrons with a stunning ceiling feature evoking Roman architecture. The baffles improved speech intelligibility in the Adelaide-based restaurant by decreasing sound reverberation, creating a more enjoyable experience for customers.

In both Fuji and Array, careful selection of materials enables high acoustic performance while supporting environmental wellbeing. Array is made from EchoPanel®, which is made of 100% PET with 60% recycled post-consumer plastics, whereas Fuji is made from Mura (100% PET, 64% recycled). Both brands achieve Global GreenTag™ certification (GreenRate Level A), with the maximum Product Health Declaration™ Platinum Health, are Red List Free and have published ingredient transparency with Declare.

More and more projects are turning to Woven Image’s acoustic finishes and Commercial Services team to produce unique and functional projects for their clients. The inhouse Commercial Services team oversees enquiries and quotes, manages CAD software production of technical plans and drawings, and offers guidance, industry knowledge and precision.  The Project Delivery team takes over from there, ensuring materials are received on time. Together, they make ideas come to life by using either the company’s wide selection of beautiful finishes or custom designs, shapes and colours to produce truly engaging spaces.
