The new training centre located in Tras Street will serve as the German bathroom brand’s training hub for the region.

As a sure sign of its commitment and strong market presence in Asia, Duravit has recently opened its first training centre in Singapore to serve its business partners and customers in this region.
The training centre is located in the heart of the city, in 63 Tras Street, and includes three training areas covering all the Duravit products that are relevant for the market.
Markus Greiwe, head of Duravit Singapore and director of the Training Centre explains that the purpose of the centre is two-fold. “One is for training. We will be training our business partners on our design messages, and our wellbeing products and solutions – really keeping them up to date on the developments within Duravit and how we want to get these messages to the market.”
“[The other] is for presentations,” says Greiwe, “Product presentations and brand presentations for developers, architects and designers. [With this centre], we are going more directly to our end users in the B2B business.”
The CEO of Duravit, Frank Richter was also in town for the centre’s opening and spoke about some of the key drivers to the brand’s success. “We are, at the end of the day, a family-owned business. We are therefore not focused on things like quarterly results, which require short-term activism. [Rather], we can take a medium to long-term view of things.”
“We also do the things that we really like to do,” he continues. “We like our brand, we like our products. We have them in our homes and use them ourselves. We like the designers we work with. We like minimalism; we don’t like heavy decoration. [We have a] passion for the brand. And when it comes to Asia, [we have] business partners who share these values.”
Visitors to the centre will get to see and learn more about the new Happy D.2 series from sieger design and the DuraStyle range by Matteo Thun along with timelessly modern design classics by Philippe Starck, tub and wellness products, and stand-alone ceramic items like toilets and washbasins.
