The crème de la crème of the architecture and design community came together in-person to celebrate the INDE.Awards. Relive all the best moments here.
December 17th, 2021
With a gathering of luminaries at the Hyatt Residence on the first of December, Indesign celebrated the 2021 INDE.Awards in style. The crème de la crème of the architecture and design community came together in one of the first in-person events in Melbourne for the INDE party and revelled in the opportunity to mix and mingle. With the bright design stars kicking up their heels, the evening will be remembered as one of the best events in many years.
A multitude of 2021 INDE.Awards shortlisted and winning practices were represented, and not only was there talk of the exciting gala awards evening in November, but a genuine excitement and anticipation for the 2022 INDE.Awards.
The evening began with delicious canapés and drinks that were briefly interrupted with a welcome from INDE.Awards programme director Jan Henderson and a short speech from esteemed INDE jury member James Calder, global director, ERA-co who has been a juror since the inception of the Awards. Sponsors were thanked for their incredible support over the year and then with a flourish the 2022 INDE.Awards was officially declared open for entry.
Some of our guests included William Smart, creative director, Smart Design Studio who commented, “It was great to be able to be there; and thanks for organising such a fantastic event”.
While Elle Zylstra, marketing and communications manager, Gray Puksand said, “Thank you so much for having us! Was a great night as always”. And Ross Gardam, principal of Ross Gardam studio, reiterated, “Had a really nice night, so good to be out and about”.
Which perfectly summed up the feeling in the newly opened, sophisticated space that is the Hyatt Residence on Collins Street on a Wednesday evening.
And so, the 2021 INDE.Awards was acclaimed as a most successful Awards and the 2022 INDE.Awards is now something to look forward to – as we plan our next party where we can come together once more to meet friends and make new ones.
It was a night to remember and the memory will take us into 2022 when we can do it all over again!
