Andy Cohen, Co-CEO of Gensler, was in town to mark the milestone for the global firm’s Asia Pacific hub studio.
April 17th, 2019
Fresh from a summit of its Asia office leaders in Shanghai, Gensler’s Co-CEO Andy Cohen was in town on 1 April 2019 to celebrate the Singapore studio’s tenth anniversary. The office in the Air View Building on Peck Seah Street was filled with clients, collaborators and staff for an evening of cocktails and networking.
Last year, Gensler reshaped its network under a new ‘One Community’ organisational structure that better enables global team alignment and networked leadership. The Singapore studio has taken on particular importance in the APAC region as a hub, and Cohen acknowledged the exceptional efforts of the local team.
Gensler employs 6,000 people around the globe, with studios in 50 cities, and works in 24 practice areas. Said Cohen, “This year we’re working in over 100 countries. The only way we can act as one seamless organisation is to use what we call the ‘One-Firm Firm’ philosophy. With it we can seamlessly service our clients around the globe.”
The unified approach allows the flow of a knowledge around the firm in a networked arrangement, fuelled by insights from leadership as well as the Gensler Research Institute.
“It’s an incredible network, our ‘Knowledge Network’ – and it means we can bring all the knowledge to you in Singapore through our tremendous leadership,” said Cohen.
