The inaugural Lookbox Design Awards bestowed a total of 20 awards and honourable mentions to some of Singapore’s best home projects in a glitzy gala night at the Regent Hotel.

Last Thursday, the Royal Pavilion ballroom at Regent Singapore was buzzing with anticipation and excitement, as 250 guests, VIPs, designers and interior design industry professionals came together for the Lookbox Design Awards (LBDA) Gala Night.
Held on 14 December 2017, it was the main event of the inaugural LBDA – the night everyone in Singapore’s design scene had been waiting for – where the award winners of the 10 categories were to be announced. The categories were: Outstanding HDB Flat, sponsored by Lamitak; Outstanding Private Apartment; Outstanding Landed Home, sponsored by Louis Poulsen; Best Space for Entertaining, sponsored by Gaggenau; Best Space for Retreat, sponsored by Hansgrohe; Excellence in Innovation, sponsored by Hafary; Most Dramatic Transformation, sponsored by Furniture Club; Outstanding Space: The Designer’s Studio; Interior Design Firm of the Year; and Home of the Year.
In total, 20 winners and honourable mentions were commemorated.

This is a special award honouring the most outstanding home project that was shortlisted. The winner of this category was chosen by the judges from among the LBDA finalists.
Congratulations to the winners and honourable mentions!
On that high note, besides having their building curiosity about the winners finally satiated, guests also enjoyed fine nosh by award-winning restaurant Basilico, and were well entertained by Mediacorp CLASS 95 DJ Jean Danker – the emcee for the evening. Apart from exclusive prize giveaways, a photo contest and a live DJ spinning till late was also part of the line-up.
