The way that we work is set to change forever and with the launch of Actiu by KIAN every working environment is certain to benefit.
May 15th, 2020
In these unprecedented times in which we live, it is imperative, now more than ever, to ensure the space in which we work and the products we use extend comfort, facility, and meet ergonomic requirement. The latest furniture offering from KIAN is the new product range, Actiu by KIAN and the accompanying concept planning tools of Smart Working and Cool Working®. It’s obvious that we are only as productive as our surroundings and KIAN offers assistance in every situation to help us adapt to the new normal.
As the workplace paradigm has shifted, so too must the design and resolution of our workplaces adjust. As our work patterns have changed, health and safety are paramount, and whether working from the office or at home, Actiu premium products are ideal for every working environment. As a leading Spanish furniture designer and manufacturer with more than 50 years experience, Actiu is at the vanguard of product design and is a dynamic and trusted brand known throughout the world.
Products are manufactured in Spain at the Actiu Technology Park, an innovative and creative industrial complex, and the first of its type to be awarded both the LEED® Platinum Certification and WELL Certification. Actiu has also received a Red Dot Design Award and it’s easy to see why.
The partnering of KIAN and Actiu to create Actiu by KIAN translates into fine products with excellent customer service for regional markets in Asia.
At this time, work places and spaces need to be flexible and re-assessed, to better meet requirements and provide extra support for users, and Smart Working is here to help. Actiu has developed Smart Working, a big picture approach that generates a better user experience to improve physical and emotional well-being. This is a new way of approaching work that eliminates inflexibility and predetermined patterns in favour of focusing on what is relevant – ideas, projects, and people. The premise of Smart Working includes four concepts that take on a new dimension – space, time, technology, and people.
Another advancement to complement Smart Working is Actiu Next, an integrated technology built into furniture that tracks usage through an App that then allows for optimising spaces and personal well-being. Both Smart Working and Actiu Next build on the values of Actiu, where health, design, innovation, and sustainability are key. And as if this wasn’t enough, there is Cool Working®, a concept tool from KIAN to help design office space that better suits the user and the office environment.
To reflect all these ideas and concepts in a form, Actiu by KIAN presents two high-performance products that will help transform spaces and enhance the health of the user.
The first product is Talent, a table that crosses design boundaries and helps motivate critical thinking through innovation in an active and creative way. Talent is Ideal for every space large enough for training a few people with distancing or supporting the individual, and at 690mm x 690mm, it is perfectly at ease in the contemporary office or a home space. The height is adjustable and Talent is available in a white frame and top with flip tops on casters. Other design features include rounded corners and rubber edges to prevent injuries, the ability to be folded and stored to save space, and table top surfaces with options that allow for writing directly onto the table. Talent also has a German GS (Geprüfte Sicherheit) certification and does not require an electrical connection.
To complement Talent is Stay, a high quality task chair that was selected for its outstanding design and comfort in the 2013 Delta Awards. With a black Polyamide base and frame, black string backrest and upholstered T82 seat, Stay is totally adjustable to every area of the user’s back, arms, neck, and knees. Through its ergonomic design, Stay helps the body retain a natural position, thereby facilitating good posture habits and an enhanced feeling of well-being. With an advanced self-weighting synchronization that automatically adapts to the user, total seat and armrest adjustments, and a concave seat cushion profile for correct pelvis positioning, Stay is a task chair of distinction.
With the inclusion of Talent and Stay in the product range, Actiu by KIAN is certain to influence and help define the way we work today and with the addition of the Smart Working and Cool Working® concepts, the benefits to our well-being and health are manifold. As the times change, so do the products we need to help us stay healthy and work more productively, and Actiu by KIAN is here to help every step of the way.
