Exclusively from Hafary comes the Shale tile collection – a soft yet refined collection that captures the beauty of the natural world within a mature, designer context.

From the legendary Italian tile design house Italgraniti comes the Shale tile collection – the latest masterwork in smooth surface solutions.
Available locally exclusively from the keen-eyed design team at Hafary, Shale was inspired by the essence and strength of naturally occurring slate – harnessed and mastered into a glazed porcelain tile that’s big on design, yet smooth and perfect to the touch.
The Shale tiles offer a sense of ever-changing sensations. Graphic dynamism, chromatic control and studied metamorphic traits are all revealed through this new surface, which channels a well-balanced and profoundly authentic sense of design.
The delicate characteristics of split stone are conveyed through the surface of Shale. Whether opting for the realistic stone effect or the unique ribbed surface that brings the effect of an ever-moving material, Shale can serve as a backdrop for considered and contemporary style, or take centre stage as a feature surface itself.
With balanced three-dimensionality and a linear design, the collection conveys a timeless taste, skilfully replicating the realistic textures of nature, making it ideal for both residential and commercial applications.
The undisputed master of Italian ceramics, Italgraniti has been celebrated by designers and design lovers for over two decades. The world-class research and development team is constantly innovating and searching for new trends and technologies in ceramic and tile design, and Shale is a contender for the group’s most inspired effort yet.
In Singapore, the material is available exclusively from Hafary, who since 1980 has been a market-defining, leading supplier of premium tiles, stones, mosaics, and bathroom fixtures. Since founding, Hafary has made its mark on Singaporean design – from small projects within the residential and renovation world, to large scale property developments, commercial construction and even prestigious architecture firms themselves.
Shale is a tile solution for contemporary aesthetics and needs, and Hafary is the surface solutions group for the contemporary designer.
